Date Calculator
Add or subtract years, months, and days from a start date to find a resulting date.
About the Date Calc Calculator
Whether you are figuring out a deadline, a contract end date, or a future anniversary, this calculator adds or subtracts any combination of years, months, and days from a starting date to give you the exact resulting date.
How It Works
The calculator takes your start date and applies the years, months, and days you specify — adding them if you chose "add" or subtracting them if you chose "subtract" — using standard calendar arithmetic that correctly handles varying month lengths and leap years.
Resulting Date = Start Date ± (Years, Months, Days), applied using calendar-accurate date arithmetic.
Example
Scenario: Adding 3 months to a start date.
Result: The exact calendar date three months later, automatically adjusting for month length.
Assumptions & Limitations
- When adding months results in a day that does not exist in the target month (like January 31 plus one month), the date is adjusted to the nearest valid day in that month by the underlying calendar engine.
- Assumes the Gregorian calendar.
- Does not account for time zones or specific time-of-day, only calendar dates.
